English Translation
When will the absent sun peep
I cried for my misfortune and wallowed in sorrow
My sleep is scarce and I sleep tortured
And all whom I speak to of my woes remains perplex
And all whom I speak to of my woes remains perplex
I peeked into the well, I peeked into the well
I peeked into the well and said boo, he said twice the boo
Standing at the threshhold at dawn
In despair and measuring my damage
Give me lies cheating and treachery
And I will say good morning to faces of goodness
And I will say good morning to faces of goodness
I peeked into the well, I peeked into the well
I peeked into the well and said boo, he said twice the boo
When will the absent sun peep
I cried for my misfortune and wallowed in sorrow
My sleep is scarce and I sleep tortured
And all whom I speak to of my woes remains perplex
And all whom I speak to of my woes remains perplex
I peeked into the well, I peeked into the well
I peeked into the well and said boo, he said twice the boo
